Katharine House Hospice, Oxfordshire
Katharine House Hospice provides specialist palliative care for adults, predominantly in North Oxfordshire. The core of the proposal is to enlarge the day room towards the garden and fully glaze the external wall to bring light in. The roof will be of solid construction, highly insulated to create a controlled internal environment. The new room will open onto the garden with a usable terrace giving day patients the opportunity to interract with the garden. We also propose to add fully accessible, assisted WC's with ventilated lobbies. The new design provides improved clinical treatment and rest-room facilities, offering flexibility and options for patient care and choice.
